Sublimation Instructions for Foam Trucker Hats

For WHITE 100% polyester front panels only

All sublimation transfers are printed with highly pigmented sublimation ink on high-quality sublimation paper. Store transfers in a cool, dry place before use.

Important Notes

• Only use white 100% polyester foam front hats.
• Sublimation creates a permanent design.
• Finished hats can be washed and worn regularly.
• You may repress the hat after sublimation to apply patches or additional designs. Sublimation ink will not fade or transfer.

 Step 1: Prep the Hat

1. Lint roll the front panel to remove dust and debris.
2. Remove the cardboard insert from inside the hat.
3. Place the hat on your cap press with a cap stretcher, ensuring a tight and even fit.
4. Pre-press the hat at 380°F for 15 seconds to eliminate wrinkles and moisture.

Step 2: Apply the Transfer

1. Position your sublimation design face-down on the hat front.
2. Secure it firmly using heat-resistant tape.
   (Movement during pressing can cause ghosting or blurring.)
3. Ensure the entire design fits under the heat platen for full coverage.
4. Step 3: Press the Design

1. Place parchment paper, butcher paper, or Teflon over the design as a protective barrier.
   (Do NOT use silicone sheets.)
   (Optional: You may press without a cover if none is available.)
2. Press at 380°F for 40 seconds with medium pressure.
   (Firm enough for transfer, not so firm that it creases the hat.)
3. Slowly release the press, wait a few seconds, and peel back the paper carefully.
   (Repress if needed to smooth out any creases—design will stay intact.)
4. You’re Done!
5. Your design is now permanently sublimated. Feel free to add patches or other heat-applied elements—the ink won’t fade or transfer. Enjoy your custom hat!
